Matt is a trial lawyer who specializes in representing catastrophically injured clients in a diverse range of complex cases, including medical malpractice, birth injury, premises liability, and other professional negligence. Within months of joining the Beasley Firm, Matt and Andrew Marth obtained multiple significant settlements, including a six-figure settlement at trial in a complex medical malpractice case.
Before joining The Beasley Firm, Matt served as an Assistant District Attorney, where he prosecuted hundreds of cases at every stage of the criminal proceedings. As a prosecutor, Matt gained valuable trial experience, successfully representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as lead counsel in numerous jury trials and bench trials, where he zealously advocated for the victims of crimes.
Matt earned his juris doctorate at the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. He was a member of Temple’s renowned National Trial Team, where he competed in four national trial competitions receiving awards for outstanding trial advocacy and legal writing. Additionally, Matt was selected as the Barrister Award Winner for best overall performance in each of his four semesters participating in Temple’s Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy courses.
Outside of the office, Matt is an avid surfer and baseball player. He is also involved in numerous professional and community organizations in Philadelphia.
