The Beasley Firm, LLC is pleased to welcome our legal team’s newest attorney – Peter Johnsen. A skilled Philadelphia Trial Attorney, Pete joined our firm in July 2018 after practicing as an Assistant District Attorney in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and prior to that, as a civil litigator with a well-known insurance defense firm headquartered in Philadelphia.
Pete began his legal career as a standout graduate of Drexel Law, where he earned national and scholastic accolades in both written and oral advocacy, and was the only student in his class to have published legal articles in multiple academic journals. Following law school, Pete went on to work for a prominent Philadelphia insurance defense firm, where he gained critical insight into how insurance companies defend themselves against liability – insight he now leverages when protecting the rights of injured victims and families. Pete left that position to become a prosecutor with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. There, he handled numerous trials and preliminary hearings involving a range of crimes, and gained in-court experience advocating on behalf of crime victims.
Pete’s background as a former prosecutor and insurance defense attorney, his insight into the “other side,” and his professional experience handling high-stakes cases and civil litigation make him an invaluable asset to our legal team. In addition to his legal experience, Pete credits his competitive edge and determination to his years as a collegiate football player at Susquehanna University, where he led his team as Captain to its first league championship in nearly two decades. He now leverages this drive and experience to protect the rights of the injured and the wronged, and will be critical to helping our firm build upon its record of success in complex personal injury, medical malpractice, and complex civil litigation cases across Philadelphia and beyond.
