The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a statement today indicating that Kolcraft is recalling more than 36,000 strollers after receiving reports that children’s fingertips were cut off or amputated and adults who had crushed or cut their fingers in the hinge of the strollers. The injuries occurred when the side hinges were being locked or unlocked.
The model numbers of the recalled Kolcraft Contours Options include: ZL002, ZL005, ZL008, ZL015 and ZL018. The recalled strollers include both the 3 and 4-wheeled strollers that were manufactured in China from 2006 to the present and sold for $150-$160.
If you have one of the recalled strollers please stop using it until you receive a free repair kit from Kolcraft.
